  4. Your CMOS drive type may be incorrect, or you may be using partition software which 'fools' your system into thinking it is a different type of drive than it really is.  If you are having problems using your hard disk, you should run SETUP to change the drive type.

  6. Norton Disk Doctor cannot analyze your system correctly if the drive type is not correct.  If you proceed with an invalid drive type, you will make the problem worse. (Loss of data may occur.)

  8. If you are ABSOLUTELY sure that your drive type is correct, you can skip future CMOS tests by selecting 'Options' and then select 'General Options'.
